Itinerary
Day 1: Huaraz – Cuartelhuain
Transfer from Huaraz to the trailhead at Cuartelhuain. Begin the adventure surrounded by impressive mountain scenery and camp overnight.
Day 2: Cuartelhuain – Mitucocha
Cross the first mountain pass and descend toward the beautiful Mitucocha campsite with excellent views of Rondoy and nearby peaks.
Day 3: Mitucocha – Carhuacocha
Trek through scenic valleys and reach the spectacular Lake Carhuacocha, one of the most beautiful campsites of the circuit.
Day 4: Carhuacocha – Huayhuash
One of the most scenic days of the trek, passing beneath impressive glaciers and enjoying panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.
Day 5: Huayhuash – Viconga
Cross a high mountain pass and descend to Viconga, known for its beautiful landscapes and natural hot springs.
Day 6: Viconga – Huayllapa
Trek through remote Andean terrain, crossing another spectacular pass before reaching the traditional village of Huayllapa.
Day 7: Huayllapa – Jahuacocha
Ascend toward one of the most impressive viewpoints in the Huayhuash range before descending to the spectacular Jahuacocha campsite.
Day 8: Jahuacocha – Huaraz
Final trek through beautiful mountain scenery before reaching the exit point. Transfer back to Huaraz and end of services.
