Itinerary
Day 1: Huaraz – Punta Olímpica – Nevado Mateo – Huaraz
Early morning departure from Huaraz toward the southern sector of the Cordillera Blanca. Travel through breathtaking mountain scenery to the trailhead near Punta Olímpica. Begin the ascent along rocky paths and glacier terrain, gradually climbing toward the summit of Mateo Peak. After reaching the top and enjoying panoramic views of the surrounding snow-capped mountains, descend carefully to the starting point and return to Huaraz in the afternoon.
