The Cedros – Alpamayo Trek is one of the most scenic and adventurous routes in the Cordillera Blanca. This spectacular journey takes hikers through remote valleys, high mountain passes, crystal-clear alpine lakes, and breathtaking landscapes rarely visited by mass tourism. The route offers exceptional opportunities to experience the untouched beauty of the Peruvian Andes.
The highlight of the trek is the magnificent view of Alpamayo (5,947 m), internationally recognized as one of the world’s most beautiful mountains due to its perfectly shaped ice pyramid. Throughout the expedition, trekkers will also enjoy impressive views of Santa Cruz, Quitaraju, Jancarurish, Taulliraju, and numerous snow-capped peaks that dominate the skyline of the Cordillera Blanca.

Itinerary
Day 1: Huaraz – Hualcayán – Huishcash
Transfer from Huaraz to Hualcayán. Begin the trek through traditional Andean farmlands and camp at Huishcash.
Day 2: Huishcash – Osoruri
Ascend through scenic valleys and mountain terrain toward the Osoruri campsite.
Day 3: Osoruri – Cullicocha
Cross the first high mountain pass and descend to the beautiful Cullicocha Lake.
Day 4: Cullicocha – Jancapampa
Trek through spectacular alpine landscapes with impressive views of surrounding peaks.
Day 5: Jancapampa – Huillca
Continue through remote valleys and traditional grazing areas surrounded by mountain scenery.
Day 6: Huillca – Jancarurish
Cross another high-altitude pass before reaching the spectacular Jancarurish campsite with outstanding views of Alpamayo.
Day 7: Jancarurish Exploration
Optional hike to viewpoints near Alpamayo and Quitaraju glaciers, with time to enjoy the extraordinary mountain scenery.
Day 8: Jancarurish – Safuna
Trek through rugged Andean terrain toward the beautiful Safuna Valley and its glacial lakes.
Day 9: Safuna – Pucajirca
Cross another scenic mountain pass surrounded by snow-capped peaks and glaciers.
Day 10: Pucajirca – Tayapampa
Descend through highland valleys and camp in the picturesque Tayapampa area.
Day 11: Tayapampa – Huaripampa
Continue through beautiful Andean landscapes and traditional rural communities.
Day 12: Huaripampa – Vaquería – Huaraz
Final trekking stage to Vaquería. Transfer back to Huaraz and end of services.
