Built by the ancient Chavín civilization over 3,000 years ago, this remarkable ceremonial center played a significant role in the cultural and religious development of the Andean world. This full-day excursion takes you through the scenic Andean landscapes east of Huaraz, crossing mountain valleys and high-altitude passes before arriving at the impressive archaeological complex. Day 1: Huaraz – Querococha Lake – Chavín de Huántar – Huaraz

Early morning departure from Huaraz, traveling through the picturesque Callejón de Huaylas and ascending into the eastern Andes. Stop at the beautiful Querococha Lake for photographs before crossing the Cahuish Tunnel and descending toward Chavín de Huántar. Upon arrival, enjoy a guided visit of the archaeological complex, exploring its temples, galleries, plazas, and ceremonial structures. After the tour, begin the return journey to Huaraz, arriving in the late afternoon.
