Itinerary
Day 1: Huaraz – Cuartelhuain – Mitucocha
Transfer from Huaraz to the starting point of the trek. Cross the Cacananpunta Pass and descend to the beautiful Mitucocha campsite with impressive views of Rondoy Peak.
Day 2: Mitucocha – Carhuacocha
Trek through scenic valleys and mountain landscapes toward the spectacular turquoise waters of Lake Carhuacocha, one of the most beautiful campsites in the Huayhuash range.
Day 3: Carhuacocha – Huayhuash
A spectacular day crossing a high mountain pass and passing beneath towering glaciers with outstanding views of Yerupajá, Jirishanca, and Siula Grande before reaching the Huayhuash campsite.
Day 4: Huayhuash – Jahuacocha
Cross another scenic mountain pass and continue through remote Andean terrain toward the breathtaking Jahuacocha Lake, famous for its panoramic views of the Huayhuash mountains.
Day 5: Jahuacocha – Huaraz
Enjoy a final morning surrounded by spectacular mountain scenery before trekking to the exit point. Transfer back to Huaraz and end of services.
